Cristina Fletcher is a NoVA native and long-time Hampton Roads resident with a strong creative spirit. She has a B.S. in Art from JMU and an AAS in Landscape Design from TCC.

She is a professional landscape designer with 16 years of experience in high-end residential design and installation. She has worked with local contractors to install over $3 million worth of projects in the Hampton Roads area. She is a VNLA-certified horticulturist and an ICPI-certified installer.

Her joining the 757 Makerspace in Norfolk, VA in 2016 sparked a creative renaissance and she began her professional shift from landscape design to public art. Cristina utilizes her years of landscape design experience to create site-specific art with a unique perspective of how an outdoor space will be observed and used.

With her educational art background, practical experience in project management and outdoor installation, and access to the 757 Makerspace’s infinite tools/equipment and collaborative, forward-thinking environment she has learned that with the right team of people- creating ANYTHING is possible.

One of those things that she loves to help build is community. By organizing creative-centered meetings, workshops, and events she has accomplished a goal of surrounding herself with friends, colleagues, and other business owners that encourage each other’s creative goals. Interactivity in all of her projects is of the utmost importance to her.

Her drive to see new ideas come to life has also steered her down a path of entrepreneurship. She owns multiple successful companies in the Hampton Roads area, including her freelance design umbrella- Wildwood Road Design, a plant-delivery e-commerce company- eplantmatch.com, and a fitness vending machine company- GymVend.

Her most important work to date is the raising of her two brilliant, beautiful children. They are still a work in progress but she could not be more proud of how they are turning out.
